Did You Know?

Happy Halloween!!
Did you know that of the 2 billion pounds of pumpkin that are grown for the Halloween season, 1.3 billion pounds of it end up in landfills? They release methane gas as they decompose which is a harmful greenhouse gas. Instead of tossing them, use them for cooking or compost your pumpkins! Check with your city about pumpkin collection events or find your nearest compost drop-off site.
