Local Activity Spotlight: Stillwater’s Fire and Ice!

by anneandersonhomes

Fire & Ice: What’s happening this weekend is the perfect way to define the current market conditions!

This weekend, Stillwater is hosting a Fire and Ice Winter Social as part of the Wintertime in Stillwater festivities (see below for the event details.)

Coincidentally, fire and ice quite aptly describe this real estate market we find ourselves in right now. It feels like the Antarctic Plateau for our many buyers who are looking for properties in a market with little inventory, and every good listing that hits the market sells in a burst of flames.

This was the case for our newest listing we introduced to the market last week at 3151 Frontier Drive in Woodbury. Within 2 days we had four qualified buyers who offered over list price. Our sellers are pretty elated! The leftover buyers, however, are back on the hunt. This is the scene in our market and markets throughout the Twin Cites, Minnesota, and the U.S.

If you are thinking of selling, we have serious buyers, in all price ranges, and looking in all areas (see below for our Buyer Needs). Reach out and let’s discuss what selling in this type of market looks like for you.

If you are thinking of buying, but are a bit intimidated by the low inventory or getting into a bidding war, we can help with our tried and true strategies of winning in all kinds of scenarios, and seeking properties out in the areas you wish to buy.

As always, feel free to send us an email, text, or give us a call about any real estate questions you may have – fire or ice related 😃.

Have a wonderful weekend!

FEATURED LISTINGS

CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: SOMATIC CENTER FOR CHRONIC PAIN

In May of 2018, Renee Lindquist opened Somatic Center, LLC in Stillwater, MN where she continues to treat people in chronic pain.

Renee has been a beloved yoga teacher in the St. Croix Valley since 2004. In 2013, after years of teaching yoga, Renee suffered a painful back injury. Her search for pain relief took her through various channels of western medicine but nothing seemed to help. Then she found a Yoga Therapist practicing Hanna Somatics Therapy. It was there that Renee found not only relief from pain but also more freedom in her body than she had experienced in a long time. In 2015 Renee received her 500 Hour Teacher Training Certification in SomaYoga Therapy. Since then, she has been passionate about helping people in chronic pain. Renee draws from a wide variety of Hanna Somatic Education, Yoga therapy, and Clinical Nursing experiences. She works on the premise that people need to understand the “why” of something and experience those benefits before they will choose to apply it on their own. Ultimately, Renee helps clients in chronic pain overcome fear with curiosity and education about their bodies. Renee gives them tools to understand and release their pain. As clients begin to replace fear with curiosity, their fear melts away and once again they learn to trust their bodies.

Renee teaches Hanna Somatic Education Workshops, Classes and offers Private Hanna Somatic Sessions for pain management and increased mobility. Click HERE for more information

GIVING IN OUR COMMUNITIES

The mission of Valley Outreach is to help people move their lives forward through basic needs services and personalized support.  In 2019-20 they welcomed more than 13,000 individuals with 60% of those families new to Valley Outreach. At Anne Anderson Homes we believe in giving back to the communities in which we live and work.  Valley Outreach is an organization that we continue to support and it extends beyond our team.  In November of 2020, our amazing clients and friends raised over $1,000 and donated a truckload of food in a mere 2 hours for the Valley Outreach organization!
